I’ve been living in Jerusalem for the last few years, and needless to say, it has offered fertile ground street photography. Obviously the city itself is something of a fascinating mess, teeming with history and diversity in ways that feel overwhelming but always provide new material. But it’s also just in the middle of the world. It’s right at the crossroads of three continents, and there is an endless variety of cultures and histories just on its doorstep (or these days, a short flight or two away). It’s a good place for a street photographer. If you’ve ever seen this map, you’ll know that this isn’t a new idea.
